INFO / PROTOCOL
OPERATING PROCEDURES, ACCESS GUIDELINES, AND FREQUENTLY ASKED DATA. PLEASE READ BEFORE DEPLOYMENT.
01
WHAT EXACTLY IS SAMPLE ROOM?
Sample Room is a social club for the Bay Area fashion scene. We host events, workshops, and mixers at various studios and spaces across the city. Think of it as the link between a design studio and a night out.
02
DO I NEED TO KNOW HOW TO SEW?
Not at all. While a lot of our members are technical designers, we welcome anyone who's passionate about fashion culture. If you love the craft, you’re in the right place.
03
HOW DO I GET INTO AN EVENT?
It depends on the event. Some gatherings are open RSVP, while others require a paid ticket to cover costs. Check the "DROPS" section for details on the next event. Joining the email list ensures you get the link before it sells out. Note that tickets are generally non-refundable, but you can transfer them to a friend if you can't make it.
04
WHERE DO EVENTS TAKE PLACE?
We host events primarily in San Francisco. Since we use different spaces depending on the vibe (studios, warehouses, bars), the exact address is usually sent to confirmed guests 24 hours before the event starts.
05
IS THERE A DRESS CODE?
Unless specified in a specific event brief, there is no strict uniform. However, we document everything. Cameras are always active. Dress how you want to be archived.
06
CAN I BRING A GUEST?
Tickets are for individuals. If you want to bring someone along, just share the RSVP link with them. We keep the guest list tight to ensure that everyone there really belongs.
07
IS ALCOHOL SERVED?
This depends on the venue. Some events have an open bar, others are BYOB. Check the specific event details to see what the setup is.
08
CODE OF CONDUCT
We have a zero-tolerance policy for harassment, discrimination, or unwanted touching. If you make anyone feel unsafe or uncomfortable, you will be asked to leave immediately and blacklisted from future events. Respect the space and the people in it.
